<p>At OÖ-Open 2010 we intend to fly at least one Assigned Area Task, where turnpoints are big cylinders and flight distance is calculated from the best positions within this cylindes. So the pilot himself determines the distance he wants to fly – no gaggle flying and more tactical skills needed.<br />
Task duration is give by max.time, outlandings are punished by 20% of the pilots flown distance. (Similar to what sailplanes already do, see FAI sporting code section 3 annex A).<br />
Is there a way to do scoring with FS?<br />
I assume there need to be changes in program for optimization of the flight (find the best position within the assigned area).<br />
Is there a chance this kind of task could be implemented in future?</p>
