The map view section is very unusable. It would be great to be able to display co-ordinates and times of each trackpoint on the map. In addition it would be great to be able to move the map around and zoom in and out.

Thanks

    Hi Jug,

I agree that the map view leaves a lot to desire, but the things you mentioned is already there.

Move map: left-click somewhere and the place you clicked is places in the center.
Zoom in: with left mouse button, hold down and drag …
Zoom out: right-click somewhere and the place you clicked is places in the center and zoomed out.

Coordinates of where the mouse-pointer is: first line in the upper left corner
Coordinates of the tracklog-point nearest to the mouse-pointer: second line in the upper left corner.

The map view has not had priority so far. Using FsFlight (under the Tools menu) you get all the dirty details about a flight and how the turnpoints where taken (or not taken).

Eventually the map view in FsComp will be improved on with respect to understanding how the program calc. distance and time etc…

    Hi!

This is already included in the task map, did you try to move the mouse over the tracklogs displayed in the map view? The coordinates of the point you point to with the mouse are displayed in the top section of the window, along with the time and altitude of a 3D log.

Also to move the map, zoom, etc. you can use the mouse as described in the Wiki page for FSFlight here – http://fs.fai.org/cgi-bin/trac.fcgi/wiki/FsFlight
