Description

Hi Stein, I'm Juaki from Spain. I'll be the meet director at the coming HG European Champ in Ager. We need to have a database of all pilots and we are trying to fill this database from the online entries on the web, we will also add photos of pilots for the ID card and so. I intend to do this through the original FS database. Obviously all the fields don't have to be visible from FS. What database engine can I use, SQL server maybe or do you know of any other that could help

Juaki,

FS uses a XML file to store all data about pilots and tasks, scoring, etc. There is no traditional database in FS.

I would use whatever database you need for the web-registration, and then export the pilot list in XML or CSV format with the relevant fields to import in FS.

If you find a nice way of doing this, please write a few sentences about this in the Wiki!

Maybe Stein Tore have more tips also?
