The track log of interest is that of Ewan Crosbie. It was produced by a Garmin 76. I've tried a number of things including saving to IGC and then making a new KML file from the IGC. I also tried hacking out the pressure altitude section. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

I see the problem, but don't see the reason for it yet. Will have to investigate some more, but unfortunately, I probably won't get to it until the weekend.

If you still have access to the GPS, could you try downloading an IGC file of that flight and put that one up here as well?

Yes,I will ask Ewan to bring the device to me tonight, and I will pull an IGC file from it. Thanks for the quick feedback. I was beginning to think I'd gone a bit mad.

I pulled an IGC file from Ewan's GPS last night and will attach it to the ticket.

The pilot's flight was shortened to the first 103 points (if you zoom in all the way to the launch place, you'll see a little smudge, a short track). The reason for this: He sat very still for a while, which lead the filter function in FS to believe the flight was done already, so it disregarded the remainder of the track.

If you disable the filtering (Tools - Options - uncheck "Use tracklog filter..."), the track gets evaluated and scored correctly.

Alternatively, in the IGC file, you can remove the first 50 or so track points, the ones right before the start.

The filter definitely could use some improvement.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
