Just come from testing FS for fist time in Mexico and could not find any option to define how do you set up if a start cylinder will be enter or exit mode. Is this done automatically if you place the waypoint inside the cylinder afterwards?

Thanks Enrique

STE, we need to explain this in the Wiki. You had a very good explanation in Vågå last year if you can remember it :-)

Hello Enrique. If you can´t remember, as I understand the entry and exit deal, the program simplified this problem as follows:

  1. If after the start cylinder you have the next turnpoint inside it, then the start would always be taken as an Entry Start.
  2. Else if you have the next turnpoint after the start, outside of it´s cylinder, then it would be handled as an Exit Start.

This makes sense as it´s the most natural way for crossing the start cylinder line. Any other posibility would be somehow more complicated as you would be needing to cross the line one more time after you start.

Take as an example, that it´s an entry start, you start outside and the next turnpoint is outside the start, so you would need to be outside and after the start gate opens, you would need to cross the line in to start, and then you will cross it again inmediately to go to the next turnpoint.
