Scoring formula used by the PWCA in the 2011 season:

• GAP, but with only Leading, Time and Distance points
• standard GAP day quality, with additional nominal launch parameter to reduce influence of a few non-launchers on launch quality
• slightly different leading coefficient calculation (distance^{2 instead of distance) to reward leading out early in the task}
• PWCA stopped task rules:
  • Score-back by 5 minutes
  • Bonus distance based on altitude at stop time
  • time window for elapsed time races or races with multiple start gates
  • pilots between ESS and goal are scored for whole flight
  • time points reduction for all pilots in goal (equivalent to pilot crossing ESS exactly at stop time)
